Lord Dyson is a former British judge and barrister, and honorary fellow of Wadham College. Called to the bar in 1968, he took silk in 1982 and became a bencher in 1990. He served on the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom as the first ever justice who was not appointed as a peer, before serving as the Master of the Rolls and Head of Civil Justice from 2012 to 2016.
